In pursuit of our mission, these are a few areas we currently focus on:

Kensington Outreach

Weekly opportunities are provided for groups to share a meal with the hungry and lonely. Teams will prepare and serve a hot meal, and purpose to spend time getting to know the guests from the neighborhood. This ministry is a great first step for engaging those who have never been involved in ministry out of their comfort zones and helping others.

Food Cupboard

The emergency relief food distribution center provides groceries for individuals and families in need.  This program has bridged the gap between those in need and those desiring to meet those needs. People know they can come to Cast Your Cares to receive food and not just a referral.

Inner-city Host

Cast Your Cares provides the training and shepherding that groups need to be able to come and minister effectively in Philadelphia.

Resource Access Center

Many in the inner city do not have family and friends to turn to for help and advice. Cast Your Cares provides a much-needed service by helping neighbors get the council and guidance they need. They match the need with the available service provider. These areas of assistance are not limited to but include.

• Financial counseling
• Mentoring
• Health and human services
• Drug and alcohol counseling
• Helping meet needs.

Support other Ministries

Serving in Philadelphia for over 25 years we have established connections with resources that not only help us here at CYC but out of the abundance also other ministries serving alongside us here. We pick up donations and weekly deliver those to other ministries in need. Currently, we provide daily desserts to a local soup kitchen, drinks/snacks to an intake ministry, snacks to a wound care facility, medical supplies to a free clinic, milk/cereal to an outreach program, and more depending on what we receive each week. It is a blessing to be a blessing to others serving here.
